Google’s planned release of a new in-app payments tool in May 2011 coincides with the date of its I/O developer conference in San Francisco. Jambool users were welcomed today with news of the Social Gold service’s closing, along with an invitation to try out its replacement from Google.
Making its debut at the Palm Desert, CA DEMO event is a new Video Chat contender that dials down the ChatRoulette randomness – and hopefully the creep factor. A San Francisco startup with Seattle roots, SocialEyes has already garnered a nice chunk of venture capital, with Bellevue’s Ignition Partners a major contributor.
Click Forensics buys Adometry TechFlash
The acquisition of Adometry by Click Forensics promises to be a win/win deal, with the Redmond ad metrics company earning a chance to keep growing and its Austin, TX buyer gaining the technology to better serve clients. As Adometry employees head to Texas, the company founded by John Dietz will live on as the new name of Click Forensics.
